About

  • My Approach

Hello and welcome! I am Shazia Khan, a licensed psychotherapist and counselor and a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association relocated from Melbourne, Australia to Karachi, Pakistan.

As a therapist, there is nothing I desire more than to form a genuine, respectful alliance with my clients. To best serve this goal I bring an integrative and holistic approach to my practice. Combining life coaching, transpersonal narrative, strengths-based and cognitive-behavioral therapies I strive to meet the counseling needs of each individual.

Through honest, collaborative discussions, I will design a customized plan to suit your goals and values. Together, we will peel away layers to reveal patterns that trigger unhappiness in your life and explore new, more effective ways of handling them. As you walk towards emotional health, you will be able to manage these triggers mindfully and in ways that support your wellbeing. Over time and with increased self-awareness, you will gain greater control over your life and face dilemmas and crises positively and with resilience.

  • My Journey

Challenges and struggles are part of life and I certainly am no stranger to life’s
transitional aspects. I too have lost loved ones and encountered setbacks. My journey through these times and the resilience I had to muster to move forward makes me who I am today. A deeply spiritual person, determined to find solutions and not let despair eclipse the joy of living.

Throughout my life I have been drawn to work that allows me to make a positive impact on lives of others. With over 15 years of experience teaching children and counselling youth find their vocation, I feel privileged to serve my community as a psychotherapist and counsellor. This is what I was born to do!

If you are ready to overcome challenges and difficulties in your life, I invite you to share your journey with me. We will work together in a supportive, non-judgemental environment to move you to a more joyful and content life.
